Job summary

Leighton Asia is seeking an Engineer - ABWF to support the delivery of architectural builder's works, A&A, fitting-out, and building projects in Hong Kong. You will coordinate site activities and ensure quality and safety compliance from planning through completion.

The role requires a degree in engineering or related discipline, at least 3 years in ABWF/A&A and strong communication with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Building Studies, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant ABWF, A&A, fitting-out, building works, or construction experience.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, site coordination and project execution.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and safety awareness.
• Good communication and coordination with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ABWF, A&A, fitting-out, building works and project execution.
• Provide on-site engineering support during construction and propose appropriate construction methods for site activities.
• Monitor work progress and coordinate daily site activities on site.
• Review subcontractors' shop drawings, technical submissions, and material submissions before client approval.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and subcontractors to ensure technical, quality, and safety requirements are achieved.
• Manage site quality control, including work schedules, progress monitoring, materials, equipment, and site resources.
• Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and safety standards.

• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Experience with main contractors will be an advantage.
  

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of shop drawing review, material submissions, and quality control procedures.
• Experience in site supervision and contractor management.
• Familiarity with Hong Kong construction practices and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD/BIM tools is advantageous.
