Engineer – Building Services (Workplace, Banking)

Job summary

CBRE Limited is seeking a Building Services Engineer to oversee daily facilities maintenance across assigned sites, with emphasis on E&M and minor builder's works. The role requires strong planning and hands-on problem solving.

You will manage preventive and corrective maintenance plans, coordinate with clients, and ensure compliance with codes and high-quality standards. Cantonese and English communication are essential, with on-call duties across EMEA & APAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree holder in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Building Services Engineering or relevant disciplines
• Minimum of 8 years' maintenance experience in Maintenance Engineering / Building Services within the banking or financial services industry is preferable.
• REW A(0) or above holder is required
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Good team player with good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Will be required for rotational call-out to manage EMEA & APAC incidents between 0700 - 1800 HK time
• Proficiency in Cantonese (Spoken and written) is a must. Good command of both written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily facilities maintenance for all assigned facilities, mainly E&M, minor of builder's work
• Create work plans for both preventive and corrective maintenance
• Client management, delivering real-time reporting and updating maintenance status
• Ensure all programs and procedures are being complied with high-quality standard
• Materials and parts inventory management, place purchasing order for materials and parts in advance of the work schedule
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects including request for quotation/ tender as assigned
• Receive escalated complaints and resolve difficult problems.
• Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs. Utilize available systems to manage work orders and track completion.
• Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Support emergency call
• Other duties may be assigned
