Job summary

Primech Hong Kong Limited is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our robotics team at Hong Kong Science Park. You will develop low-level firmware for mobile robots and work on real-time control and sensor data acquisition.

Responsibilities include writing drivers for STM32, integrating peripherals, and collaborating with hardware engineers to diagnose faults. Strong embedded C/C++ skills and experience with DMA, timers, ADC, and communication buses are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Automation, Communications, or related field.
• 0-3 years of hands-on STM32 or similar embedded development; strong embedded C/C++ skills.
• Proficient in configuring and debugging DMA, timers, ADC, and communication buses; skilled with oscilloscopes and EMC/EMI troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Develop low-level drivers for robot embedded systems, with hands-on expertise in STM32 (HAL/LL libraries) hardware interfaces (SPI/I2C/UART & RS485/Modbus/CAN bus).
• Collaborate with the hardware team on core control board and being familiar with hardware fault diagnosis.
• Write technical documentation including driver design docs, API references, test reports, and production maintenance guides.
• Develop and maintain tooling to validate and verify MCU board functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Automation, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum 0-3 year of hands-on STM32 or similar embedded development; strong embedded C/C++ skills with clean, well-structured coding practices.
• Proficient in configuring and debugging DMA, timers, ADC, and communication buses (SPI/I2C/UART); skilled with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and EMC/EMI troubleshooting.
