Job summary

Defond Electrical Industries Limited is seeking a firmware/software engineer to develop software for home appliances and automotive connectivity products. You will test and debug, document design specifications, and collaborate with NPI, QA and production to move projects from concept to mass production. Strong knowledge in MCU-based systems and cloud/app development is valued.

Excellent communication in English and Mandarin is required, with 5-day work week and competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Degree or above in electronics, computing science or equivalent engineering.
• Experience in software development with analog, digital and MCU circuitry.
• Experience in C/C++ on C51 core & ARM MCU, debugging software tools.
• Experience in AC/BLDC motor control, touch sense, LoRa, WiFi, BLE, smartphone app development is advantageous.
• Familiar with cloud application software development.
• Good practice in source code management and version control.
• Fluent English and Mandarin, spoken and written.

• Software/Firmware development in home appliance / automotive connectivity related products
• Software testing and debugging
• Well documentation on design document such as product specification, interface, test reports, and so on
• Liaise and work closely with NPI, QA & other production function to launch the project from beginning to mass production
• Feasibility study & brainstorming on innovation

Requirements:

• Degree or above of electronic, computing science or equivalent engineering
• Experience in software development with analog, digital and MCU circuity
• Experience in C/C++ programming language on C51 core & ARM MCU, debugging software tools
• Experience in development at one of the following areas will be an advantage: AC motor control, BLDC motor control, touch sense, LoRa, WiFi, BLE, Familiar with Smartphone application software development
• Familiar with Cloud application software development
• Good practice in source code management & control
• Fluent English and Mandarin, spoken & written
