Job summary

KASE (International) Technology Company Limited in Hong Kong invites a proactive hardware engineer to design and develop high-performance analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronic circuits for robotic systems.

You will wire, test, and troubleshoot robot electronics, create PCB designs with PADS/Altium/KiCAD, and collaborate with embedded software engineers to ensure hardware–software interoperability while meeting safety and reliability goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years of related experience; candidates with less may be considered.
• Experience in robotics or automation hardware design and testing.
• Hands-on PCB design experience using listed tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronic circuits for robotic systems.
• Design, wire, test, and troubleshoot robot electronics.
• Stay updated with advanced robotics electronics technologies.
• Create new PCB designs considering safety, functionality, materials, cost, and reliability.
• Design Power Distribution Units, DC-DC converters, BMS, and protection circuits.
• Prepare project docs: diagrams, schematic capture, BOMs, assembly, test plans.
• Optimize layouts for mechanical constraints, thermal, EMC/EMI, and ESD.
• Design complex wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for moving joints.
• Bring up, debug, and test prototype hardware with lab equipment.
• Collaborate with embedded software engineers for firmware flashing and hardware-software validation.
• Perform environmental, stress, and reliability testing.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronic circuits tailored for robotic systems.
• Designing, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting robot electronic systems
• Be initiative and keep up with advanced technologies in robotic electronics and electrical systems
• New PCB designs, in terms of safety & functionality, material selection & cost & reliability, fabrication and assembly processes
• Power Distribution Units designs. High-efficiency DC-DC converters, battery management systems (BMS), and protection circuits.
• Prepare documentations related to project specifications, block diagram, wiring diagram, schematic capture,PCB design, BOM, assembly, testing, instructions manual, test plans and reports
• Optimize layouts for stringent mechanical constraints, thermal dissipation, and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC/EMI) and ESD protection.
• Design complex wiring harnesses and cable assemblies to handle dynamic routing through moving robotic joints.
• Bring up, debug, and test prototype hardware using laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
• Collaborate with embedded software engineers to flash firmware, map registers, and validate hardware-software interoperability.
• Perform environmental, stress, and reliability testing to ensure hardware stability in harsh operating conditions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or Higher degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or relevant disciplines with minimum 3-6 years of related experience. Candidates with less experience may also be considered
• Strong interests or experience in robotics system or industrial automation design with a quality mindset for electronic and electrical systems design and test the entire product that satisfy the safety, functional, and other related constraints and requirements
• Practical experience on robotic system/product PCB design (electronic and electrical systems), testing software and equipment skills
• Proficiencyin PCB design software such as PADS, Altium designer ,KiCAD or alike
• Good interpersonal, presentation, communication and troubleshooting skills essential
• Mature, self-motivated team player, systematic approach with excellence time and project management skills
