Job summary

Toshiba TEC Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a hardware engineer to conduct product evaluation and verification testing, analyze data, and document results for future reference. You will perform failure analysis, root-cause identification, and recommend corrective actions, while selecting components from the AVL to support value engineering.

Key duties include maintaining technical drawings and BOMs, and providing documentation support during prototypes and production builds.

Qualifications

• Experience in product design and development, including microcontroller/microprocessor-based design.
• Experience in product testing, failure analysis, and use of test equipment for troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuit fundamentals, and ability to read engineering drawings/schematics.
• Familiarity with mechanical control systems and interfaces such as SPI, I2C, RS232, Parallel, USB and SATA.
• Experience in BOM management, component selection, or value engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated with ability to meet deadlines and willingness to work overtime when required.
