UNSW invites applications for a Research Associate to contribute to electrochemical aptamer-based sensor research as part of an ARC Laureate project. You will develop electrodes and investigate pathways toward commercialisation, reporting to a senior professor and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

The role involves conducting fundamental electrochemical research, training PhD and honours students, and presenting results at conferences.

Qualifications

• PhD specialising in electrochemistry and evidence of independent research.
• Experience with electrochemical measurements and sensor development.
• Ability to perform surface characterisation and materials synthesis.
• Proven ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Conduct research in electrochemistry and biosensors for aptamer-based sensors.
• Perform and supervise experiments applying electrochemical methods.
• Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks of all experiments.
• Complete experiments and provide timely analyses of results.
• Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and prepare reports.
• Contribute to grant proposals and foster industry collaborations.
• Coordinate research activities and meet project milestones.
• Present findings at national and international conferences.
• Assist in training PhD and honours students.
• Adhere to UNSW codes of conduct and safety policies.
