Job summary

UNSW is seeking a Lecturer (Level B) in Pharmacology to contribute to high-quality research and undergraduate/postgraduate teaching. The role involves delivering courses, developing curricula, coordinating assessments, and supporting students while building a strong national and international research profile.

The successful candidate should have a strong research background with expertise in pharmacology, toxicology or NAMs, plus evidence of teaching excellence and the ability to work

Qualifications

• PhD in pharmacology, toxicology or related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
• Commitment to staying up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
• Proven research output with high quality, high impact results and leadership potential.
• Significant involvement with the profession and/or industry.
• High level communication and networking skills with diverse students and staff.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate across disciplines.
• Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
• Experience using educational technologies and online delivery methods.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and commitment to educational excellence.
• Knowledge of industry or work-integrated learning is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and develop curricula and assessments.
• Coordinate courses and provide student support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to advance teaching practices and student outcomes.
• Supervise research students and contribute to mentoring.
• Support the School's research and teaching priorities and secure funding where possible.
