UNSW's School of Chemistry invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to the development of novel electrocatalysts and ion exchange membranes for electrolyzers and fuel cells. You will synthesise, prototype, and demonstrate devices while evaluating efficiency and durability within schedule constraints.

The successful candidate will work under Professors Zhao and Meyer, with opportunities for grant applications, mentoring, and contribution to high-impact publications.

Formación

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science is required.
• Demonstrated experience in electrocatalysis and/or ion exchange membranes.
• Experience in material synthesis and device assembly.
• Strong publication record in high-impact journals and conferences.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute independently or as a team member in collaborative research to enhance outcome quality.
• Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Undertake specific research projects under supervision and develop research activities.
• Support dissemination of research outcomes through appropriate channels.
• Prototype electrochemical devices based on research findings and quantify performance.
• Apply for external grants and fellowships with supervisor support.
• Supervise students and assist with lab management and equipment maintenance.
