PERSOL Hong Kong Limited is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to support temporary electrical power systems for construction and commissioning projects in Hong Kong. You will plan, install, maintain, and manage temporary electrical infrastructure, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with project teams to handover loads to permanent systems.
Applicants must hold REW Grade A Electrical Worker License, and Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate, with strong English/Chinese
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to support temporary electrical power systems for construction and commissioning projects. This role is responsible for planning, installing, maintaining, and managing temporary electrical infrastructure to ensure safe and uninterrupted power supply throughout project execution.
The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, contractors, and commissioning personnel to ensure all temporary electrical installations comply with safety regulations and operational requirements.
Install and maintain temporary switchboards, distribution boards, and power supply systems.
Monitor and maintain temporary power systems to ensure reliability and safety.
Install temporary floodlighting and work lighting systems for night shifts and enclosed work areas.
Ensure adequate illumination in accordance with site safety requirements.
Perform grounding and bonding of temporary electrical circuits to minimize electrical hazards.
Install and maintain emergency lighting and temporary backup power systems in critical areas.
Ensure all temporary electrical works comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
Provide temporary electrical power for equipment testing and commissioning activities.
Support commissioning works for turbines, pumps, control systems, and other electrical and mechanical equipment.
Diagnose and resolve electrical issues that may arise during testing activities.
Coordinate temporary electrical installations with permanent electrical infrastructure.
Ensure temporary systems do not interfere with permanent installations.
Support the transfer of electrical loads from temporary systems to permanent systems during project handover and commissioning.
Holder of a valid REW Grade A Electrical Worker License.
Proven experience in temporary electrical works on construction sites.
Valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card).
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in both Chinese and English.
Strong knowledge of electrical safety practices, construction site regulations, and temporary power distribution systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project environment.
Experience in large-scale construction, industrial, infrastructure, or power generation projects.
Exposure to testing and commissioning activities.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
