Job summary

Job description

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Able to draw, read and understand electrical drawing/schematic.
• New project electrical schematic design and development, sourcing and testing on new components, site installation, machine wiring and other machine assemblies for customer.
• Hardware tuning and parameter setup for new components used.
• Liaise with supplier to source new/alternative equivalent replacement if the electrical hardware/component is obsoleted.
• Must have working experience in using and setting up industrial computers, PLCs and its peripherals.
• Preferably with some knowledge and experience in automation control and usage of related electrical parts and components such as sensors, circuit breakers, contactors, motors, drivers and various safety protection devices.
• Able to perform electrical hardware I/O check and troubleshoot equipment’s electrical issues independently.
• Preferably with prior knowledge of using software tools such as EPLAN/ZWCAD or any CAD software for electrical schematics design.
• Responsible for the drawing and maintenance of electrical design documentation of all products
• Responsible for creating, maintaining and issuing electrical Bill of Material (BOM) for the projects.
• Provide support to purchasing department in sourcing electrical parts and components when needed.
• Provide support to manufacturing, documentation and field service departments when needed.
• Build and nurture a culture in engineering organization of harmony, quality, ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.

MAIN JOB SPECIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Technology or equivalent degree/diploma in related technical field.
• More than 3 years of related working experience in automation industry or in equipment electrical power distribution circuitry design and control panel.
• Relevant experience working with multi-disciplines project team in an automation or system integration or manufacturing environment with exposure across various industries.
• Ability to work independently in designing and liaising with other team member from different departments and customer on technical specifications and requirements.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members.
