Job summary

Gain City Group of Companies is seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical) to oversee planning, managing and executing mechanical projects from inception to completion, including ACMV and BMS, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and budget compliance.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors, oversee installation, testing and handover, conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues while ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical project management.
• Knowledge of ACMV systems and electrical interfaces and local codes.
• Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Coordination: review drawings, develop plans, schedules and resource allocation.
• Technical & Site Management: oversee installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Budget & Cost Control: monitor costs, variations and progress claims.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Mechanical) to oversee the planning, managing and executing mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion. This role ensures that all mechanical works, including Air Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) and Building Management System (BMS), are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in full compliance with contractual, regulatory and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Coordination
  
  
  
  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  
  
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, manpower loading, and resource allocation.
  
  
  • Coordinate with project clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
  
  
  
  


• Technical & Site Management
  
  
  
  • Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
  
  
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design, standards, and safety regulations.
  
  
  • Resolve technical issues on-site and provide engineering solutions promptly.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education & Certifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline


• Proven experience (typically 3–5 years) in mechanical project management

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of and relevant experience in electrical and/or ACMV systems and equipment, with an understanding of industry standards and codes of practice


• Familiar with local codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.


• Proficient in project management tools and MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD/BIM is an advantage.
