Job summary

Ovivo Water Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation & Control Engineer in Hong Kong to complete or supervise electrical design tasks, ensuring quality and timeliness. The role includes selecting instruments, designing loops and schedules, and coordinating on-site setup.

The candidate will also contribute to vendor selections, participate in occasional liaison meetings and site visits across Europe and worldwide, and support pre-commissioning activities as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical/instrumentation and control engineering or equivalent of 10 years in a similar role.
• Familiarity with PC tools such as Excel, Word and Visio.
• Detail oriented, excellent organisational ability, good communication skills.

Responsibilities

About the role

To complete or supervise the completion of electrical design tasks to time and quality requirements, to provide technical input to the selection of new equipment or vendors and to complete electrical pre-commissioning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Select process instruments and cabling

• Design instrument loops, hook-ups, SLD, BCD, instrument/cable schedules and load lists

• Production of PLC I/O Schedules

• Outline design of control panels

• Specifications of low and medium voltage switchgear

• Design of cable systems (power, instrumentation and tray work)

• Set up of instruments and control hardware on site

• Attend occasional liaison meeting/site visits with potential clients in Europe and on occasions worldwide

About you

• Degree or better in electrical/instrumentation and control engineering or equivalent of 10 years in similar role
