Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co is seeking a Duty Engineer based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. The role involves supervising and assisting Technicians while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates should have a relevant certificate and at least 5 years of experience, particularly in luxury hotel environments.

Qualifications

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Engineering Department in Hong Kong, the Duty Engineer is responsible for supervising, supporting and assisting the Trade Foremen and all Technicians. The Duty Engineer will be Service Oriented and flexible enough to support both the Guest and in-house Colleagues needs alike. The Duty Engineer reports to the Building Services Engineer.

As Duty Engineer, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Comply with Fire, Life, Health, Safety, Security (FLHSS) Standards to maintain a proper and safe work area
• Perform Emergency Response Team duties
• Carry out maintenance work according to the hotel plan
• Maintain, repair, inspect and record all hotel equipment
• Supervise and support the Plant Technician
• Liaise with other departments & contractors.

As Duty Engineer, we expect from you:

• Holder of relevant certificate
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience with similar position
• Experience in luxury hotels or Club House would be an advantage
• Holder of Electrical Worker License of Grade A or above and Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate are required
• Shift work is required
• Good communication skills and good command of written English & Chinese.
