Job summary

Tokalent's client, a global blockchain infrastructure company, seeks an Engineering Director to lead blockchain initiatives. You will guide multiple engineering teams, shaping architecture and shipping enterprise-grade blockchain products including smart contracts and dApps on EVM networks.

You will own product shipping, collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, and mentor engineers to foster growth and top performance while driving technical decisions and best practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in leadership roles.
• Deep understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine and deploying complex smart contract systems on EVM networks.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL databases and ETL pipelines.
• Experience with cloud-based microservices and serverless architecture, cloud infra resource mgmt, and cost optimization.
• Proficiency with infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and related tech.
• Experience in test automation with tools like Selenium and Jenkins.
• Past work on blockchains/crypto exchanges/DeFi projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and conduct regular 1:1s to provide feedback.
• Architect, design, and ship blockchain-based enterprise products including smart contracts and dApps.
• Own the shipping of mission-critical systems and collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements.
• Contribute to product architecture, implement features, fix issues, and perform code reviews.
• Guide technical decisions and foster a collaborative decision-making process.
