Job summary

JLL in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced facilities leader to oversee operations, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and drive service excellence across all building services.

You will manage budgets, vendor relationships, and capital projects, while mentoring a team of facilities staff and coordinating with cross-functional groups.

The role requires a proactive, analytical professional focused on cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement to support business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage facility operations including maintenance programs for critical environments.
• Oversee incident and crisis management, health & safety, and sustainability programs.
• Manage cleaning, landscaping, pest control, and waste management services.
• Meet and exceed KPIs and SLAs.
• Accountable for P&L and capex/opex within budget.
• Prepare periodic management reports on activity, energy data, and performance.
• Plan facility improvement projects, renovations, relocations, and major capital works.
• Ensure compliance with laws and industry standards related to health, safety and environment.
• Procure services, manage contracts and maintain relationships with landlords and vendors.
• Lead and develop facilities staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement.

Job description

• Lead and manage the facility operations, including critical environment engineering maintenance programs, incident and crisis management, health and safety, sustainability programs, cleaning services, landscaping, pest control, and waste management among others.
• Meet and exceed the Key performance indicators and service level agreement.
• Accountable for P&L. Prepare and manage the facilities Capex and Opex spend within the approved budget, finance performance reporting ensuring financial objectives are met.
• Prepare periodic management reports regarding activity summary, performance level, energy data, maintenance activity, innovation, and incident.
• Plan and execute facility improvement projects, renovations, and relocations. Interface with Project team on major capital projects, office refresh, moves and churns.
• Establish and maintain relationships with Landlords, vendors, contractors, and other service providers to ensure timely and quality delivery of services within budget.
• Procurement and Contract administration. Ensure services are procured and delivered at right costs creating value for the client, contracts renewals are timely done.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry standards related to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues.
• Manage facility request and ensure works orders are closed on time to ensure superior service delivery and employee satisfaction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sustainability, health and safety, project, finance) to meet facilities goals and business objectives.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of facilities staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Stay current with industry trends and developments, and continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. Drive innovation and continuous improvement programs.
• Prepare, submit and present periodic facilities reports.
