Job summary

Randstad Hong Kong Limited partners with a reputable Chinese securities firm to hire a Director for ECM Execution & Capital Markets in Hong Kong. The role leads end-to-end ECM transactions, including IPOs, placements and rights issues, and shapes deal execution in a fast-paced market.

The candidate will ensure compliance with HKEX Listing Rules and the SFC framework, coordinate with lawyers, regulators and syndicate partners, and provide strategic advice on capital structure and market timing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Investment Banking/ECM experience.
• HKEX Listing Rules and SFC framework knowledge required.
• Valid SFC Type 6 license (Sponsor Principal status advantageous).

About the team.

The Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team consists of collaborative and high-performing professionals dedicated to originating and executing complex equity financing solutions. About the job.

• Lead and manage end-to-end execution of ECM transactions, including IPOs, secondary placements, rights issues, and block trades.
• Structure equity offerings and draft transaction documents in compliance with HKEX Listing Rules and SFC regulations.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, legal counsel, accountants, regulators, and syndicate partners to ensure seamless transaction completion.
• Participate in client pitch books, deal structuring, and valuation discussions to support business origination efforts.
• Provide strategic advice to corporate clients on capital structure, market timing, and equity positioning.

Skills & experience required.

• At least 8 years of experience in Investment Banking or ECM execution within reputable financial institutions.
• In-depth knowledge of HKEX Listing Rules, SFC regulatory framework, and capital market execution procedures.
• Valid SFC Type 6 license (Sponsor Principal status is highly advantageous).
• Proven track record of managing and closing equity underwriting and primary market transactions in Hong Kong.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, project management, and interpersonal skills.
