Job summary

Aon Corporation is seeking a Director - Construction, Power & Infrastructure in Hong Kong to lead service delivery for major projects across Hong Kong, Macau, China and beyond, driving client retention and revenue growth while coordinating cross-functional capabilities within insurance broking.

You will oversee contractor insurance placements, manage risk analyses for clients, and support strategic business development.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in insurance broking or construction risk with contractor projects.
• Experience analyzing risk and insurance issues for international construction markets.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Degree in Construction, Insurance, Business or Finance preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Relocation: Non-Hong Kong based applicants welcome.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director and Head of Construction for service delivery to clients on major projects in Hong Kong, Macau, China and beyond.
• Responsible for client retention and growth in these sectors, new revenue generation and delivery of all of Aon's capabilities.
• Manage and service existing clients in a professional manner.
• Explore new business, cross selling and penetration opportunities.
• Business development by responding to tenders or approaching new prospects or clients.
• Contribute to the team to achieve business growth.
• Handle placements for new major construction projects and annual contractors insurance programs.
• Oversee technical resource within team for placement, policy wording and related matters.
• Assist Department Head with business development strategy for acquiring new project and contractor business, and management of business development tracking software programs.
• Work with team members and support them in achievement of the Department's goals and objectives.
