Job summary

Aon Corporation is seeking a Director - Construction, Power & Infrastructure in Hong Kong to lead service delivery for major projects across Hong Kong, Macau, China and beyond, driving client retention and revenue growth while coordinating cross-functional capabilities within insurance broking.

You will oversee contractor insurance placements, manage risk analyses for clients, and support strategic business development.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in insurance broking or construction risk with contractor projects.
• Experience analyzing risk and insurance issues for international construction markets.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Degree in Construction, Insurance, Business or Finance preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Relocation: Non-Hong Kong based applicants welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assist Department Head with business development strategy for acquiring new project and contractor business, and management of business development tracking software programs.
• Work with team members and support them in achievement of the Department's goals and objectives.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Minimum 10 years working experience in insurance broking or construction field in handling contractors or major construction projects, from preparation of proposals or reports for clients to Contract review and recommendations in relation to risk and insurance issues.
• Experience in analysing risk and insurance issues with clients, handling annual or project construction insurance placements and respective experience in broking to international construction markets
• Proficiency in PC kills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Degree holder in Construction, Insurance, Business or Finance is preferred
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese is required
