Job summary

Aon Hong Kong is seeking a senior construction insurance broker to lead client engagements across Hong Kong, Macau, and China. You will drive retention, revenue growth, and delivery of Aon’s construction capabilities, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to place major projects and contractor programs.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of construction insurance experience, strong risk analysis skills, and fluency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in insurance broking or construction risk.
• Experience handling contractors or major construction projects.
• Proficiency with risk analysis and client advisory in construction markets.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director and Head of Construction for service delivery to clients on major projects and annual programs in Hong Kong, Macau, China and other countries as required.
• Responsible for client retention and growth, new revenue generation and delivery of Aon’s capabilities.
• Manage and service existing clients in a professional manner.
• Explore new business, cross selling and penetration opportunities.
• Business development by responding to tenders or approaching new prospects or clients.
• Contribute to the team to achieve business growth.
• Handle placements for new major construction projects and annual contractors insurance programs.
• Oversee technical resource within team for placement, policy wordings and related matters.
• Assist Department Head with business development strategy and management of business development tracking software.
• Work with team members and support them in achievement of the Department’s goals and objectives.

What The Day Will Look Like

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

• Minimum 10 years working experience in insurance broking or construction field in handling contractors or major construction projects, from preparation of proposals or reports for clients to Contract review and recommendations in relation to risk and insurance issues.
• Experience in analysing risk and insurance issues with clients, handling annual or project construction insurance placements and respective experience in broking to international construction markets
• Proficiency in PC kills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Degree holder in Construction, Insurance, Business or Finance is preferred
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese is required
