Aon plc is seeking a Director of Business Development for PathWise in APAC. You will lead PathWise strategy, drive revenue growth, and act as a senior advisor to chief actuaries, CROs, and CFOs across Hong Kong and Taiwan with cross‑APAC collaboration.

The role requires a decade of life insurance or related experience, strong regulatory knowledge (RBC, IFRS 17, Solvency II), and a proven track record in strategic client leadership within a consulting firm or insurer.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in life insurance/reinsurance, actuarial consulting, or analytics/tech.
• Strong knowledge of RBC, IFRS 17, Solvency II in APAC markets.
• Proven revenue growth and senior client leadership at a consulting firm or insurer.
• Bachelor's in quantitative field; FIA preferred; AI/data science or finance credentials valued.

Aon’s Life Solutions practice (part of the Strategy and Technology Group) combines PathWise®, our high‑performance modeling platform, with advisory services for life and annuity (re)insurers. You will lead PathWise® solutions business development for clients in Hong Kong and Taiwan, also collaborating and supporting projects across APAC.

Role Overview

• Lead PathWise® strategy and business development for Life Solutions in APAC markets.
• Serve as senior advisor to C‑suite stakeholders (Chief Actuaries, CROs, CFOs, Heads of Data/AI).
• Drive revenue growth and franchise development in a shared P&L, matrixed environment.

What the day will look like

• Lead client pursuits for new opportunities and prospective PathWise users in focus markets, also supporting wider team in APAC and globally
• Translate PathWise® capabilities into scalable, repeatable client solutions; lead key PathWise® engagements from pilot to BAU production.
• Originate and close PathWise® leads and opportunities; build and execute go‑to‑market plans; manage senior relationships with APAC (re)insurers and key partners.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams (Reinsurance Solutions, PathWise® implementation, actuarial/capital advisory, local colleagues) to deliver “one Aon” solutions; coach and mentor team members.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• 10+ years in life insurance / reinsurance, actuarial consulting, or analytics/technology, with significant experience in insurance.
• Strong background in life insurance capital/solvency frameworks (e.g., RBC, IFRS 17, Solvency II, APAC regulations).
• Proven business development and senior client leadership experience at a consulting firm, (re)insurer, or relevant technology/analytics provider.
• Bachelor’s in a quantitative field required; advanced degree preferred. Professional actuarial qualification (e.g., FIA or equivalent) strongly preferred; additional AI/data science or finance credentials valued.
• Strong communication, influencing, and relationship‑building skills; entrepreneurial, collaborative, low‑ego leader with high ownership and commercial acumen.
