Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a DevOps/Production Support engineer to safeguard mission-critical applications in a live enterprise environment. You will investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis while building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

You'll deploy and support containerized apps using Docker, Podman and Kubernetes, automate repetitive tasks with scripting, and monitor health, logs, and metrics to prevent outages.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience supporting live enterprise or production systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker / Podman and Kubernetes.
• Experience with scripting or automation using Bash, Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with production deployments, incident troubleshooting, monitoring, and log analysis.
• Working knowledge of Git / source control and release processes.

Responsibilities

• Support mission-critical applications and platforms in a production environment
• Investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Deploy and support containerized applications using Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
• Support production releases, rollback activities, and post-deployment validation
• Automate repetitive operational and deployment activities using scripting
• Monitor application and platform health, logs, alerts, and resource utilization
• Troubleshoot across application, Linux, container, and platform layers
• Develop proofs of concept for automation, DevOps, and platform improvements
• Support patching, configuration management, certificates, and preventive maintenance
