Job summary

Argyll Scott is partnering with a global life insurer to build a Regional AI Centre of Excellence in Asia. The Data Scientist will develop and evaluate machine learning and generative AI solutions within delivery squads, from data exploration to pilot evaluation.

You will work with data scientists, engineers, product specialists and business teams to deliver measurable operational and customer value, exploring data, modelling, prototyping and iterative experimentation.

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills.
• Knowledge of statistical modelling and machine learning.
• Experience developing or evaluating ML and generative AI solutions.
• Ability to explain analytical findings and limitations clearly.
• Collaborative approach to experimentation and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Explore business data and establish analytical baselines.
• Develop statistical models and ML solutions.
• Build and evaluate ML and generative AI prototypes.
• Assess business value, data constraints, and solution limitations.
• Iterate with business users and communicate findings clearly.
• Collaborate with engineers on deployment and monitoring, building reusable assets.
