Job summary

Argyll Scott is partnering with a global life insurer to build a Regional AI Centre of Excellence in Asia. The Data Scientist will develop and evaluate machine learning and generative AI solutions within delivery squads, from data exploration to pilot evaluation.

You will work with data scientists, engineers, product specialists and business teams to deliver measurable operational and customer value, exploring data, modelling, prototyping and iterative experimentation.

The opportunity

We are partnered with a global life insurer to build out its regional AI Centre of Excellence, supporting AI-led transformation across its Asian businesses. The Centre brings data scientists together with engineers, product specialists and business teams to develop solutions with measurable operational and customer value.

As a Data Scientist, you will develop and evaluate machine learning and generative AI solutions within a delivery squad. You will work from initial data exploration through modelling, prototyping and pilot evaluation, building evidence that helps teams decide how promising ideas should progress.

What you will do

• Explore business-relevant data and establish analytical and operational baselines.
• Develop statistical models and machine learning solutions.
• Build and evaluate ML and generative AI prototypes.
• Assess business value, performance, data constraints and solution limitations.
• Iterate with business users and communicate findings clearly.
• Collaborate with engineers on reproducibility, deployment and monitoring, while developing reusable analytical assets.
