Job summary

Argyll Scott is seeking an Asia AI-Ready Data Engineer in Hong Kong to support its Regional AI Centre of Excellence. You will work with regional data platform teams and AI squads to build data products for experimentation and production, leveraging AWS-hosted lakehouse and master data environments to connect insurance data with modern AI workflows.

Qualifications

• Proficient SQL and Python for data engineering tasks.
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines and integrating with AWS.
• Experience handling structured and unstructured data for analytics or AI.
• Knowledge of data quality, metadata, and lineage practices.
• Experience with insurance data is essential.

Responsibilities

• Build AWS-based data pipelines supporting priority AI use cases.
• Ingest and transform structured and unstructured data.
• Implement data-quality, metadata, lineage and access controls.
• Translate workflow requirements into fit-for-purpose data products.
• Establish ownership and refresh requirements with stakeholders.
• Develop reusable interfaces with source-system teams and AI squads.
