Job summary

Leadingnation in Hong Kong is seeking a senior BI/Data Analytics professional to translate business needs into MI solutions and oversee the design and development of dashboards and datamarts. You will drive data warehouse strategy, coordinate with IT on projects, and optimize BI tooling usage, including automation for MI reporting and dashboard maintenance.

The incumbent should have 3+ years in banking MI reporting, strong coding in Python/SAS/SQL, and familiarity with Tableau or Power BI;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data and Information Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' banking experience in MI reporting with respect to programming and database architecture.
• Strong experience in leading the design and development of MI reports and related platforms.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Understand business user’s need, be able to translate into data requirement and propose MI solution
• Manage the design and visualisation, development, implementation and maintenance of datamarts / tracking / MI / dashboard
• Facilitate the usage of BI tools and coordinate its related enhancements
• Drive and formulate data warehouse and data middle platform strategy, partner with IT to implement the projects
• Work closely with IT to automate the generation of datamarts / tracking / MI / dashboard

INCUMBENT REQUIREMENT:

• Bachelor’s / Master's degree in Computer Science, Data and Information Management or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years' banking experience in MI reporting with respect to programming and database architecture, leads and campaign management. More senior role will be offered to more senior candidate
• Strong experience in leading the design and development of MI report and related platform
• Solid experience in Python, SAS, SQL, Cognos. Knowledge in Tableau, Power BI or other visualisation tool is preferred
• Knowledge of data structures, data systems and tools and related software and data management policies and practices in a complex organizational environment an added advantage
• Excellent project management skill is a must with the ability to get things done through others not directly under his or her supervision
• Ability to challenge practices and gain consensus between legacy approaches and /or conflicting priorities
• Excellent leadership, organizational, problem solving, influencing and communication skills
