Job summary

Janestreet is seeking an experienced Data Centre Facilities Engineer to operate and maintain our rapidly scaling infrastructure across global data centres and colocation sites.

You will liaise between internal teams and external providers to ensure 100% uptime, drive technical project management, and lead build-outs of facilities with attention to interdependencies and operational risk.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project management, design, commissioning, construction, maintenance or operations of mission-critical data centres or similar facilities.
• Experience managing data centre providers and delivering creative solutions.
• Strong communication with internal/external stakeholders and concise problem description.
• Familiar with MEP components and redundancy concepts in data centres.
• Knowledge of reactive maintenance, SOPs/EOPs/MOPs review and supervision.
• Understanding of IT requirements within data centres and collaboration with IT teams.
• Willingness to travel 4–6 weeks per year; flexible for nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between internal teams and external data centres / colocation providers to ensure uptime across facilities.
• Lead technical projects and build-out/fit-out of data centres and sites.
• Assess interdependencies of data centre functions and make data-driven engineering decisions.
