Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific is seeking a Data Centre Construction Project Manager in Hong Kong to lead scope and designs for data hall fit outs and oversee construction for new builds and upgrades. You will own the project scope, timeline and budget, coordinating with customers, contractors, and operations teams.

The role requires 5-7+ years in construction (data centres ideal), strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5-7+ years of work experience in the construction industry, ideally in the data centre space.
• Experience managing customer relationships.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Demonstrable leadership and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer and contractor access and collaborate with operations teams.
• Develop and coordinate method of procedures for works within operational facilities.
• Provide construction management for initiatives aimed at increasing resiliency of data centres.
• Review constructability of electrical and mechanical system designs for new data centres or optimizations.
• Create project scope and equipment requirements, assist with RFPs and capital requests.
• Lead the group and support internal and external teams across data centre projects.
• Project cost and contract management.
• Develop and review tender packages and cost data, bid templates and evaluations.
• Develop and own project cost data, including budgeting and cash flows.
• Project delivery: chair meetings, monitor safety, track status, and handover to operations.
• Develop and execute project management plans (safety, quality, time, cost).
• Record and report team metrics to management.
• Concurrently manage multiple projects including new data centre builds and upgrades.
• Support operations of installed facilities and review maintenance initiatives.
• Review vendor claims, invoices, variations, and time-related claims.
