Job summary

You will transform complex challenges into practical analytics, partner with stakeholders, and deliver measurable business impact.

Responsibilities include end-to-end analytics delivery, data visualization, and knowledge sharing to elevate analytics maturity across teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in retail banking analytics with hands-on modelling and AI/ML.
• Experience with large datasets and applying ML/AI techniques to solve business problems.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL/BigQuery, and data visualization tools (Tableau or QlikSense).
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced Data & Analytics Manager (Operational Analytics) to join our client, a leading financial institution. In this role, you will play a key part in transforming complex business challenges into practical analytics solutions, working closely with stakeholders across Fraud, Collections, Underwriting, and KYC Operations to deliver measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analytics & Insights: Analyse large volumes of structured and unstructured data to identify trends, generate insights, and provide actionable recommendations across risk and operations.
• AI/ML & Modelling: Apply advanced statistical techniques, predictive modelling, and AI/ML methods to develop practical and scalable analytics solutions.
• Business Problem Solving: Identify emerging business needs and translate them into well-defined analytics use cases with clear methodologies, measurable outcomes, and business value.
• End-to-End Analytics Delivery: Lead analytics initiatives from solution design and validation through to implementation, performance tracking, and impact assessment.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business, operations, and technology teams to implement analytics and AI solutions and establish appropriate performance measurement frameworks.
• Data Visualisation & Communication: Present complex analytical findings clearly to different audiences, translating data insights into practical recommendations that support business decisions.
• Knowledge Sharing: Share analytics best practices and contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• University degree or above in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data/Information Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in retail banking analytics, with hands-on experience in modelling and AI/ML.
• Strong experience working with large datasets and applying machine learning and AI techniques to solve business problems.
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL/BigQuery, and data visualisation tools such as Tableau or QlikSense.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is required.
• Experience in banking risk domains such as Fraud, Collections, Underwriting, or KYC is an advantage.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex analytics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work effectively across business, operations, and technology teams.
• Strong ownership and service mindset, with a focus on delivering practical solutions and improving customer communication and service outcomes.
