Job summary

ALL-STAR AGENCY in Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned Credit Analyst to manage end-to-end credit risk within a corporate banking portfolio. You will balance rigorous financial analysis with close collaboration with stakeholders to drive sound, profitable growth.

You will review credit applications, support relationship managers, monitor portfolio risk, and help enhance credit frameworks while ensuring regulatory compliance with HKMA and audit requirements.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics (MBA preferred).
• 7+ years of solid credit analysis experience covering large corporates and various lending products.
• Knowledge of structured products and trade finance is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review credit applications with cash flow analysis, sensitivity testing and scenario planning.
• Partner with Relationship Managers to deliver credit and risk advisory support.
• Participate in client meetings, calls and site visits to contribute credit perspective.
• Monitor portfolio performance daily with forward-looking risk assessments.
• Keep credit policies and grading systems agile and responsive to market conditions.
• Review loan documentation for alignment with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to enhancements of credit frameworks, systems and policy infrastructure.
• Support regulatory and internal audits (HKMA and auditors).
• Collaborate with Marketing Units on transaction structuring and portfolio monitoring within risk appetite.
• Assess banking solutions across lending, structured finance, treasury products and trade/structured transactions by analyzing deal structures and risks.

Job description

With continued business growth across the region, our corporate bank is looking for a seasoned Credit Analyst to join the Corporate Banking team. In this role, you'll take ownership of end-to-end credit risk management across a diverse corporate banking loan portfolio, striking the right balance between rigorous financial analysis and close collaboration with business stakeholders to drive sound, profitable growth.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and review new and renewed credit applications, incorporating cash flow analysis, sensitivity testing, and scenario planning
• Partner closely with Relationship Managers in the Large Corporate Banking Department, delivering timely and actionable credit and risk advisory support
• Participate in client meetings, calls, and site visits alongside the Corporate Banking team, contributing a credit perspective to relationship management and business origination
• Monitor portfolio performance daily, including forward-looking risk assessments and early warning indicators
• Keep credit policies and grading systems agile and responsive to shifting market conditions and emerging risks
• Review loan documentation to ensure full alignment with internal standards and regulatory requirements
• Help enhance the Bank's credit frameworks, systems, and policy infrastructure on an ongoing basis
• Support regulatory and internal audits, including engagements with the HKMA and external/internal auditors
• Work with Marketing Units on transaction structuring and portfolio monitoring, ensuring all activities stay within risk appetite and regulatory guidelines
• Assess banking solutions across the bank's full product platform—including lending, structured finance, treasury products, and trade/structured transactions such as ARP—by analyzing deal structures and associated credit risks

What We're Looking For:

• University degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics; MBA is a plus
• 7+ years of solid credit analysis experience, covering large corporates and a variety of lending products
• Knowledge of structured products and trade finance is a strong advantage
• Client-facing or relationship management experience is a bonus
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in both English and Chinese
