Job summary

Woon Lee Construction Co Ltd in Hong Kong seeks a Contract Technical Assistant (Architectural) to support the Housing Authority with drawing preparation, drawings check, and project liaison.

You will update working drawings, prepare survey plans, coordinate with professionals, and assist in material sourcing, with a focus on AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Building/Architectural Studies.
• Experience with AutoCAD drafting and architectural drawings.
• Familiar with Building Regulations and Codes of Practice.
• Proficient in Photoshop, 3D (Revit) and PowerPoint.
• Good command of English and Chinese; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, check and update working drawings and submission drawings.
• Consolidate and review architectural and related drawings per project.
• Liaise with professionals, Housing Authority staff and contractors.
• Assist in sourcing architectural/building materials.
• Prepare update record drawings and programme charts.
• Compute site areas and plot ratios; perform on-site measurements.
• Prepare survey drawings and maintain proper records.
• Construct study models and print drawings; address drawing issues.

Job description

Contract Technical Assistant (Architectural)

The CTA(A) will be seconded to the Hong Kong Housing Authority to carry out the following :

Job Duties

Normal Office Hours : Monday to Friday (i)08:30 to 17:18 or (ii)08:57 to 17:45

Prepare, check and update working drawings, submission drawing, presentation drawings, survey plans and schedule

Check the shop drawings and as-fitted drawings submitted by contractors, suppliers and utility companies

Consolidate and review architectural, building services, structural, site formation, drainage, geotechnical design and other drawings as necessary

Liaise with professionals, technical officers, site staff of the Housing Department and contractor's representatives on matters related to the project

Assist in sourcing architectural/building materials

Prepare update record drawings and programme charts

Compute site areas, plot ratio

Perform on-site measurement, prepare survey drawings and maintain proper records

Construct study models and arrange printing of drawings

Handle and resolve technical problems arising from drawing preparation and site construction

To perform other duties as directed by the CM or the CM’s Representatives

Requirements

Diploma/Higher Certificate or above in Building Studies or Architectural Studies from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University or an Institute of Vocational Education

Experience in AutoCAD drafting and architectural drawings

Well-versed in Building Regulations and Code of Practices

Proficient in Photoshop, 3D (Autodesk Revit) and PowerPoint applications preferred

Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese

Self-motivated, good communications and interpersonal skills

Salary : Monthly Salary will be ranging from HK$25,115 to HK$35,080 (depending on related working experience)
