Job summary

InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Contract Systems Analyst to revamp and enhance FEHD’s Cemeteries and Crematoria systems. The role requires strong J2EE, SQL, and web services expertise, plus experience with vendor management and government projects.

The position is based in Wan Chai and other FEHD offices, offering a 3-month contract with a late-October start and a January end date. Cantonese and English are required, with office hours and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
• At least 4 years post-qualification experience; at least 1 year in a similar post.
• 5+ years in J2EE Development and in SQL/PLSQL/PRO*C; 5+ years in Web Programming and Web Services.
• 2 years in JBoss Application Server is an advantage; 2 years in EJB and Struts is an advantage.
• Vendor management experience and Government project exposure are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project planning and monitoring, including vendor management.
• Perform system analysis and design.
• Write code to implement the projects and test the systems.
• Produce documentation and conduct user training.
• Provide ongoing maintenance support of the systems.

Project Nature (T26)

• (a) Revamp of Cemeteries and Crematoria Computer System (RCCCS) To revamp the existing aged CCCS with latest technology for improving the system performance, providing better user interface and experience, and supporting more auto-approval features in operation to reduce FEHD staff manual efforts in processing related applications and improve overall operational efficiency.
• (b) Enhancement on Platform for Cemeteries and Crematoria Services (CCSP) To enhance the e-payment feature interfacing with Government Cloud Infrastructure Services (GCIS) e-Payment Service and Event Booking feature in CCSP, thereby providing citizens with efficient access to FEHD Cemeteries and Crematoria (C&C) services with a 24/7 self-service portal featuring online payment, integrated QR code authentication for arrival, and automated backend processes to minimize administrative workload for FEHD personnel.

Duties

• Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the FEHD;
• Assist in project planning and monitoring, including the management of outsourced vendors;
• Perform system analysis and design;
• Write code to implement the projects and test the systems;
• Produce documentation and conduct user training; and
• Provide on-going maintenance support of the systems.

Requirements

• . At least 5 years' experience in J2EE Development (JDE);
