Job summary

InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited in Tseung Kwan O is recruiting for a contract-based IT specialist to support the revamp, enhancement and maintenance of departmental websites and data dissemination systems for C&SD.

The role requires hands-on development with .NET/JSP/PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL Server, plus experience with government projects and data dissemination platforms. 3 months contract, collaborative team, onsite work.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in website/web application development using .NET, JSP and/or PHP.
• Proficient in HTML, XML, JavaScript; familiar with server-side scripting.
• Experience with MS SQL Server databases and SSRS reporting.
• Government project experience in HKSAR is preferred.
• Experience maintaining data dissemination systems and government projects.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance of Web Content Management System and data dissemination IT systems for C&SD.
• Assist in new data dissemination IT system projects and related IT tasks.
• Review solutions proposed by project contractors and provide recommendations.
• Contribute to system design, implementation, enhancement and maintenance activities.

Project Nature (T26) Support the revamp, enhancement and maintenance of departmental website and data dissemination IT systems for C&SD

Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the C&SD;

1. To support the maintenance of Web Content Management System, and Interactive Data Dissemination Services of C&SD;
2. To provide support for the computer projects of new data dissemination IT systems;
3. To scrutinize and provide advice on the solutions and deliverables from the project contractors of these systems; and
4. To perform any other activities which are necessary for the satisfactory completion of the system design and analysis, implementation, enhancement and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• 1. Solid working experience in program development in the following areas:
  - Website/ web application development using .NET, JSP and/or PHP
  - HTML, Internet/Intranet, XML
  - JavaScript

  - Microsoft SQL Server database
• 2. Project experience in HKSAR Government
• 3. Work experience in maintaining data dissemination system for the Government

Technical Skills

• . At least 2 years' experience in Apache Web Server (AWS);
• . At least 2 years' experience in HTML version before HTML5 (HTM);
• . At least 2 years' experience in JavaScript Programming (JAP);
• . At least 2 years' experience in MS ASP.NET (MSA);

• - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
• - At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
