Project Nature (T26) Development and maintenance of IT application systems in EDB.

Duties

• Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the EDB;
• To assist in the development and maintenance of IT applications, including system analysis, programming, system testing, acceptance testing, documentation and ongoing support;
• To perform system analysis and design work for enhancement items and to develop programs for IT application systems;
• To provide technical support to the operation and maintenance of IT application systems, and be willing to work after office hours if needed;
• To leverage artificial intelligence (AI) tools to improve work efficiency, enhance data analysis and support decision making to meet departmental operational needs;
• To research and apply emerging technologies (including AI tools and modern programming frameworks) to enhance the development, automation, and performance of web based learning systems; and
• To possess good knowledge and proficiency in developing AI or machine learning applications with Python, web programming, structured data query tools and relational databases (SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL), with exposure in AI orchestration tools (e.g., Dify, n8n, LangChain, LlamaIndex), RAG, vector databases, LLM APIs, AI agents, and deployment using Docker and Git. Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., GCIS/DCI provided by DPO) will be an advantage.

Requirements Requirement Details: At least 3 years of post-qualification relevant application development/maintenance experience.

At least 1 years' experience in HK Government projects

Technical Skills:

• At least 1 year's experience in Microsoft Active Directory Administration (ADA);
• At least 1 year's experience in IT Application Development and Management (ADM);
• At least 1 year's experience in Structured Query Language (SQL);
• At least 1 year's experience in Website Administration (WEA);
• At least 1 year's experience in Web Programming (WEB).

Non-technical Skills:

• At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV);
• Good written English is a must;
• 1 year's experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage.

• Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
• At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
