Job summary

DFI Retail Group in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Store Planning & Projects specialist to lead layout planning, store design development and standards compliance for retail spaces. You will coordinate with Operations, Marketing and Facilities to ensure timely project delivery and optimal customer experience.

The role requires a Higher Diploma or above inInterior Design or related fields, 5+ years in retail space planning, strong AutoCAD/Excel/PowerPoint skills, and fluency in English and

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or above in Interior Design, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in retail space planning, interior design, construction planning, or project management.
• Experience in FMCG retail space planning and design is an advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint is a MUST.
• Experience with SketchUp or other 3D rendering software is an added advantage.
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills with both internal and external parties.
• Positive 'can-do' attitude, good teamwork and innovation.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

• Data Analysis & Reporting: consolidate and analyse store and financial data; prepare performance reports.
• Project & Meeting Coordination: organize design review meetings and project updates; monitor progress and coordinate stakeholders.

The challenge is to:

Store Planning & Layout Management

• Develop and manage store layout plans for new stores, remodelling projects and minor enhancement projects.
• Ensure store layouts align with business development schedules, budget requirements, sales projections and stakeholder expectations.

Store Design Development

• Prepare and manage design proposals, elevations, perspectives and submission packages for store projects.
• Coordinate reviews and approvals from management, landlords and project managers for project implementation.

Design Standards Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure all store designs comply with up-to-date store design guidelines and corporate standards.
• Collect feedback from operations teams and key stakeholders to identify for improvement opportunities.
• Drive continuous enhancement of store design standards and customer experience.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Represent the team in new business initiatives to collaborate closely with Operations, Commercial, Marketing, Project Management, Facilities and Licensing teams to ensure alignment.
• Participate in fixture and equipment sourcing, evaluation and development activities.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Consolidate and analyse store, operational and financial data to evaluate business performance.
• Prepare reports to support operational effectiveness and management decision-making.

Project & Meeting Coordination

• Organise and coordinate design review meetings, project update meetings and internal design-related activities.
• Monitor project progress and facilitate communication among relevant stakeholders to support timely project delivery.

Do you have experience in Design and Construction?

• Higher Diploma or abovein Interior Design, Construction Management, or other related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in retail space planning, interior design, construction planning, or project management.
• Experience in FMCG retail space planning and design is an advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint is a MUST.
