Job summary

BOC Group Life Assurance Company Ltd is seeking a seasoned compliance professional to advise on regulatory issues related to the distribution of tied agents within life insurance. The role includes maintaining comprehensive compliance programs and addressing market conduct standards.

You will support key business initiatives, develop training programs, and coordinate responses to regulators while collaborating with multiple units to ensure robust regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Law
• Minimum 8 years relevant experience in life insurance compliance
• Working knowledge of Insurance Ordinance, Securities and Futures Ordinance and MPF Ordinance
• Preference for experience in distribution compliance and market conduct
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and bilingual drafting skills

Job description

The incumbent is expected to provide advisory services to business units on regulatory compliance issues relating to sales and distribution of tied agents of insurance business and to maintain compliance programs addressing market conduct, regulatory and internal guidelines including but not limited to sales and conduct risk related requirements.

In addition, the incumbent is also expected to provide support to business initiatives, cultivate compliance awareness of the company through organizing compliance training and compliance review programs, and work with business units on handling inquiries from regulators.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Law, Risk Management, Business Administration or related disciplines.

Minimum 8 years relevant experience in life insurance compliance function, with proven track record in handling compliance matters in relation to tied agents

Working knowledge in Insurance Ordinance, Securities and Futures Ordinance and Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance, good understanding of Hong Kong insurance regulatory framework and experience in dealing with regulators is preferred.

Preference will be given to those with solid experience in distribution compliance, market conduct, sales and marketing materials review.

Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, analytical and bilingual drafting skills

Detail-minded, mature, confident, self-motivated, resilient and be able to work in fast paced environment.

A good team player & be able to work proactively & independently.

Proficient in spoken & written English & Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
