Job summary

HSBC Hong Kong is seeking a Commercial Insurance Business Development Manager to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the local market. You will work with frontline teams to boost selling skills, product knowledge, and sales effectiveness while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will lead initiatives to launch new products and services, gather frontline feedback, and drive customer-centric improvements aligned with HSBC's growth priorities and profitability targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferrable with prior experiences in life insurance sales / business development / related role
• Strong knowledge of products, selling skills, market trends, etc., and track record in new business development
• Proactive, agile interpersonal skill to build close working relationships and collaborate with channel and internal partners
• Insurance license required, including completion of Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examination (Paper 1,3,5) and CPD requirements

To be successful you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferrable with prior experiences in life insurance sales / business development / related role
• Strong and solid knowledge in products, selling skills market trends etc., and track record in new business development and people development initiatives
• Proactive, agile and effective interpersonal skill to build close working relationships and collaborate with channel and internal partners
• Insurance related license required, including completion of Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examination (Paper 1,3,5) and compliance with related Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements
