Job summary

The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd invites applications for the Principal IT Specialist (Project Support & Shared Services) based in Admiralty, Hong Kong. You will lead the implementation and management of IT systems and cloud services while ensuring end-user computing platforms run reliably.

Reporting to the Principal IT Lead, the role requires strong analytical skills, English and Chinese proficiency, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related disciplines
• Identity, certificate, and access management (e.g. Microsoft AD, Entra ID, ADFS, ADCS, GPO)
• Microsoft 365 services (e.g. Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Forms)
• Privileged identity and access management (CyberArk)
• Certification in ITIL, PMP or any of the above areas an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written
• Candidate with less relevant experience may be considered for the position of Senior IT Specialist.

Responsibilities

• To implement and manage various IT systems, cloud services and the end-user computing platform
• To oversee system upgrades, security, automation, and performance optimisation
• To maintain documentation and ensure system compliance
• To collaborate with other IT teams to maintain smooth system integration with enterprise applications
• To support IT infrastructure-related projects, evaluate emerging technologies and mentor junior staff
