Job summary

Gfi World in Hong Kong is seeking a capable Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on cloud platforms, NFV, and automation to support scalable deployments.

You will analyze, design, implement, monitor and secure cloud systems, work with VMware/KVM/OpenStack, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable cloud-native development and deployment automation. 1–2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Engineering or related discipline.
• 1-2 years' hands-on experience in Cloud Infrastructure is highly preferred.
• Good Knowledge in Openstack base cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Virtualization technologies (VMware/KVM) / Networking (SDN, switch, router and firewall configuration) / Cloud Security are highly preferred.
• Programming/scripting experience will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of PaaS, Container, Dockers, Kubernetes, etc
• Willing to discover the latest technologies and techniques in cloud services development.
• Creative, flexible and self-initiative.
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Work with company Cloud & NFV platforms with ongoing technology update.
• Perform company cloud systems and network analysis, testing, planning, design, implementation, monitoring, capacity management, security operations, trouble-shooting and documentation.
• Perform prompt remedy actions, track and update progress from various parties to ensure problems been solved with minimum service impact.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end users.
• Work with cross functional teams across the company to enable cloud native application development and deployment automation.
