Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure professional for a major public-sector client in Hong Kong. You will oversee private cloud platforms, manage capacity and patches, diagnose incidents, and maintain disaster recovery guidelines, while contributing to multi-year digitalisation initiatives.

The role requires 4+ years in IT infrastructure, hands-on VMware/Cisco/Dell/NetApp/Red Hat expertise, and a VCP certification; additional cloud certs are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related discipline.
• At least 4 years in IT or infrastructure domain.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on with hardware, OS, and enterprise platforms (VMware, Cisco, Dell, NetApp, PureStorage, Microsoft, Red Hat).
• VCP in Data Center Virtualization required; other certs valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support private cloud platforms (compute, storage, load-balancers).
• Carry out capacity planning, routine maintenance, and patching.
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues; provide user support.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation, procedures, and DR guidelines.
• Contribute to infra projects, evaluations, and PoCs.
• Support public cloud environments including monitoring and deployment.

Job Description

• Oversee and support private cloud platforms, including compute, storage, load-balancing components, and related sub-systems
• Carry out capacity planning, routine system maintenance, and patching activities to ensure optimal performance
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues, responding to incidents and providing user support when requiredMaintain up-to-date technical documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery guidelines
• Contribute to infrastructure-related projects, technical evaluations, and proof-of-concept exercises
• Support public cloud environments, including monitoring, deployment activities, and troubleshooting

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• At least 4 years of experience within the IT or infrastructure domain
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting hardware, operating systems, and enterprise platforms, including technologies such as VMware, Cisco, Dell, NetApp, PureStorage, Microsoft, and Red Hat
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) in Data Center Virtualization is required
• Additional certifications (e.g. VMware Cloud Management & Automation, Network Virtualization, Desktop & Mobility, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly regarded
