Job summary

Michael Page International (Hong Kong) Limited seeks a senior IT Infrastructure SME to lead datacenter platforms and preside over hybrid cloud and on‑premises designs. You will drive stability, scalability, and lifecycle management across servers, virtualization, storage, and facilities.

You will guide cross‑functional teams, mentor senior engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals in a large Hong Kong organization.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of IT infrastructure experience in enterprise datacenters.
• Deep expertise in Linux and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and backup systems.
• Experience designing and managing on‑premises and hybrid cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for datacenter platforms, including server OS and virtualization across on‑premises and hybrid cloud.
• Lead infrastructure design to ensure stability, scalability, and lifecycle management.
• Manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure: servers, storage, backup, networking, and datacenter facilities.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, optimization, and troubleshooting for high availability.
• Lead modernization initiatives including automation and platform revamps.

Job Description

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for datacenter platforms, including server operating systems and virtualization environments across on-premises and hybrid cloud landscapes.
• Act as the technical authority for infrastructure platform design, ensuring system stability, scalability, and full lifecycle management.
• Manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, backup solutions, networking, and datacenter facilities.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, administration, performance optimization, and troubleshooting of IT platforms, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Lead infrastructure transformation and modernization initiatives, including automation, optimization, and platform revamp programs.
• Provide technical leadership in solution design and contribute to end-to-end infrastructure and total solution architecture, including presales and project delivery phases.
• Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues, ensuring timely and effective problem resolution across environments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive project execution and align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Support large-scale enterprise environments, managing cross-team coordination and resolving technical conflicts when required.

The Successful Applicant

• 10-15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with deep expertise in enterprise datacenter environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat) and solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Proven expertise in managing and supporting enterprise infrastructure components, including servers, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), storage, and backup systems.
• Demonstrated experience in infrastructure design, platform architecture, and lifecycle management across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience in infrastructure transformation, modernization, and automation initiatives.
• Ability to act as a senior technical lead or SME, providing guidance across both presales and delivery phases.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in large-scale environments.
• Experience working in large enterprise organizations with complex hierarchies and governance structures.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to manage conflicts and align diverse teams.
• Strong sense of ownership, with a focus on solution quality, stability, and continuous improvement rather than speed alone.
