Qualifications

Job Description

• Plan, Design and Develop the private cloud infrastructure and platform services
• Understand industry trends and make recommendations related to the use and security of cloud services and technologies.
• Manage the private cloud platform in accordance with the cloud strategy, policies, best practices and capabilities
• Work with cross functional teams across the IT division to enable cloud native application development and deployment automation
• Support cloud infrastructure capacity and budget forecast
• Monitor the established SLAs with technology partners and vendors
• Lead and coordinate the network implementation on Private cloud architecture and promote open standard, framework, and best practice

Job Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Certifications in VMware Certified Profession (VCP) or higher with VMWare vCloud Foundation is a plus
• At least 8 years working experience in IT industry with VMWare, Windows and Linux technology and with 3 year experience in managing a large environment of private or public cloud infrastructure and platform services supporting mission critical applications
• Good experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering.
• Work experience with monitoring and analysis software such as vRealise Operation Manager
• Experience in high availability network and performance monitoring platform
• Experience in disaster recovery planning (DRP) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Good analytical and communication skills, able to discuss with internal users and developers on their requirements
• Skilled at working in tandem with a team of engineers, or alone as required.
• Certifications in Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2) and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) a plus
• Good project management skills.
• Professional knowledge in private cloud like VMware Cloud Foundation.
• Solid understanding of cloud native application, micro-services, containers, Kubernetes and related cloud infrastructure and architecture.
• Knowledge of data storage protocols, including CIFS, NFS
• Experience with script or automation languages (yaml / bash / perl / python / power shell)
• Knowledge of SUSE, Ubuntu and Windows operating systems
• Work experience with VMware ESX, Virtual Center, vCloud Foundation
• Ability to deploy software through tooling (git, Jenkins, Ansible scripts, Docker) and CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, and other software development and documentation tools used in DevOps.
• Knowledgeable in Database including SQL and NoSQL, and related data stores such as Postgres, MongoDB
• Knowledgeable in network, firewall, and security best practices Knowledgeable of VMware NSX-T Data Center deployment and design is a plus
• Knowledgeable of SDN, Cisco ACI network and other related solution with integration is a plus
