The Child Development Centre in Hong Kong seeks a Clinical Psychologist to conduct comprehensive clinical and psycho-educational assessments across ages, using standardized tools, observation, and interviews. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice and client-centered care.
You will deliver individual and group psychotherapy, design SEN-focused programs, manage case progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and families to support holistic development, with opportunities for
Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive clinical, and psycho-educational assessments (e.g., ADHD, Dyslexia, ASD, and mood disorders) using standardized tools, observation, and interviews.
Therapeutic Intervention: Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans; provide individual and group psychotherapy for clients across all age groups (children, adolescents, and adults) both in-person and virtually.
SEN & Psycho-educational Programs: Design, prepare, and deliver specialized psycho-educational classes, skill-building workshops, and wellness programs tailored for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and their families.
Case Management & Monitoring: Evaluate client progress through regular sessions, manage clinical risks/crises, and maintain precise, confidential clinical records in compliance with professional standards.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with an interdisciplinary team (e.g., allied health professionals, social workers) and families to ensure holistic care.
Service Development: Actively participate in clinical supervision, case conferences, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Master or doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and Registered Clinical Psychologist at the “Hong Kong Institute of Clinical Psychologists (HKICP)” preferred
1 years or above of post-education related experiences is preferred; fresh Graduate will also be considered;
Knowledge and clinical skills in conducting psychological assessment and intervention in a spectrum of psychopathologies.
Familiarity with intervention and tools in mental health
Excellent skills in community work and social networking;
Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese (including Putonghua) & English.
