Shangri-La Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong seeks a Chief Engineer to supervise the Engineering Team, ensuring safe daily hotel operations and asset protection.

You will oversee preventive maintenance, fire & life safety systems, and training for colleagues, with a focus on regulatory compliance and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualificações

• Degree in Building Services or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering; Chartered Engineer preferred.
• At least 8 years in Hotel or building operations, including 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of government ordinances, regulations and fire safety requirements.
• Recognized qualifications in fire safety engineering or related disciplines.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

• Provide technical guidance and conduct engineering and FLS training for colleagues.

About the Role

As a Chief Engineer, you will be supervising the Engineering Team to ensure daily operations with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection.

About You

• Degree in Building Services or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; preferably Chartered Engineer.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in Hotel or building operations, including 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of relevant government ordinances, regulations, and fire safety requirements.
• Recognized qualifications in fire safety engineering or related disciplines.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
