Job summary

Jacobs in Hong Kong is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and coordinate electrical systems for major infrastructure projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, innovative solutions that meet client and project requirements.

Responsibilities include designing MV/LV power distribution, motor control centres, control and instrumentation systems, and preparing calculations, reports, drawings and tender documents.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (as stated).
• Corporate Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) or equivalent qualification (as stated).
• Proven experience in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects (as stated).
• Experience in water, wastewater, power, waste, or other utility infrastructure projects is essential (as stated).
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV power distribution, control systems, and electrical infrastructure design (as stated).
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin is an advantage (as stated).

• Support project delivery through planning, detailed design, tendering and construction stages (as stated).
• Ensure compliance with relevant local and international codes and standards (as stated).

Your impact

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and coordination of electrical systems for major infrastructure projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical and innovative solutions that meet client and project requirements.

Design electrical systems for infrastructure facilities, including water treatment works, pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants, and utility projects

Design MV/LV power distribution systems, motor control centres, control and instrumentation systems

Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, drawings, and tender documentation

Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external stakeholders

Support project delivery through planning, detailed design, tendering and construction stages

Ensure compliance with relevant local and international codes and standards

Here’s what you’ll need

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

Corporate Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) or equivalent professional qualification

Proven experience in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects

Experience in water, wastewater, power, waste, or other utility infrastructure projects is essential

Strong knowledge of MV/LV power distribution, control systems, and electrical infrastructure design

Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills

Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin is an advantage
