Job summary

Maxprofit Management Limited is seeking a CFO Assistant to build financial forecasting models, set core assumptions, and justify reasonableness of external forecasts in support of capital markets activities.

You will engage with investment banks, accounting firms, and internal stakeholders to optimise the finance-analytics system, improve report quality, and contribute to IPO-related projects and regulatory responses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in accounting, finance, economics or financial management.
  • Overseas study background preferred.
  • Certified public accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting or investment and financing.
  • Experience in listed company management reporting, HK IPO projects, or familiarity with HK listing rules preferred.
  • Fluent English; Cantonese proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Independently construct financial forecasting models and set core assumptions.
  • Maintain dialogue with external institutions such as investment banks and accounting firms.
  • Enhance the financial analysis system and improve report quality and decision support.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration between finance, business units, and FP&A teams.
  • Prepare and present complex financial information to management with clear reasoning.
  • Coordinate across business units and middle office to support strategic decisions.
  • Participate in HK stock IPOs and subsequent capital operations projects.
  • Coordinate with intermediaries including securities firms, accountants and lawyers.
  • Prepare core data for prospectuses, regulatory inquiries and roadshow materials.
  • Assist CFO in aligning accounting standards with internal controls and listed company requirements.

Job description

This is a CFO Assistant role focused on capital markets. You will independently construct financial forecasting models, set core assumptions and provide reasonableness justification. You will maintain keen awareness of capital markets operations and conduct professional dialogue with external institutions such as investment banks and accounting firms. You will participate in and optimise the existing business-finance analysis system, enhance report quality and decision support value, and lead deep collaboration between finance and business. You will report complex financial information directly to management with excellent logical thinking and communication skills, coordinate efficiently across business units, middle office and group FP&A teams. You will deeply participate in the company's Hong Kong stock IPO and subsequent capital operations projects, lead coordination and management with intermediaries including securities firms, accountants and lawyers, and assist in preparing core financial data for prospectuses, regulatory inquiry responses and roadshow and earnings call materials. You will be familiar with Stock Exchange of Hong Kong listing rules and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS/HKFRS), assist the CFO in streamlining and optimising financial accounting standards and internal control processes that meet listed company standards, and ensure compliance and accuracy of financial disclosures.

Key responsibilities

Independently complete construction of financial forecasting models, core assumption setting and reasonableness justification for external financial forecasts and capital markets support

Maintain keen awareness of capital markets operations and conduct professional dialogue with investment banks, accounting firms and other external institutions

Participate in and optimise the existing business-finance analysis system to enhance report quality and decision support value

Lead deep collaboration between finance and business with profound understanding of business logic

Report complex financial information directly to management with excellent logical thinking and expression ability

Coordinate efficiently across business units, middle office and group FP&A teams

Deeply participate in Hong Kong stock IPO and subsequent capital operations projects

Lead coordination and management with intermediaries including securities firms, accountants and lawyers

Prepare core financial data for prospectuses, regulatory inquiry responses and roadshow and earnings call materials

Assist CFO in streamlining and optimising financial accounting standards and internal control processes to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial disclosures

About you

Bachelor's degree or above from renowned domestic or international universities in accounting, finance, economics or financial management

Overseas study background preferred

Hold professional qualifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or equivalent

5 or more years of experience in financial analysis, budget management or investment and financing

Experience in listed company management reporting, Hong Kong stock IPO projects, or familiarity with Stock Exchange of Hong Kong listing rules preferred

Background in internet technology companies or diversified holding groups preferred

Fluent English as daily working language required; proficiency in Cantonese preferred

Strong stress resistance and self-drive; ability to quickly adapt to fast-paced, high-demand work environment
