Job summary

The Caravel Group is scaling AI as a core capability across the group, and an AI Solutions Engineer in the Office of the Group CEO will turn ambiguous executive problems into dependable software and AI-enabled workflows. You will extract data, build dashboards and production-grade tools using LLMs and data pipelines, aligning with Fleet Management Limited Technology standards.

You will work to deliver reliable AI solutions that reduce information latency and support faster strategic decisions,

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience as software, platform, AI or data engineer delivering production-grade tools.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM capabilities, deploying and operating them in real systems.
• Strong experience building APIs, backend services and data pipelines across data sources.
• Proficient Python for backend services, automation and data handling.
• Practical cloud engineering experience (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) in production.
• Strong CI/CD, testing, version control and MLOps/LLMOps practices.
• Ability to design clear visualisations and interfaces for executive decision-making.
• Experience with security-by-design, access control and data protection.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data, Mathematics or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design and build autonomous agents and data pipelines that pull, structure and synthesise information from internal systems and external platforms.
• Build executive dashboards and tools that combine data across functions for low-latency decision support.
• Develop backend services and data pipelines to support AI workloads at scale and production-grade tools.
• Apply analytics, forecasting and light machine learning to improve decision quality where useful.
• Implement runbooks, configuration management, secrets handling and deployment pipelines.
