The University of Hong Kong invites applications for a Town Planning Manager / Assistant Town Planning Manager (rank of Technical Manager I / II) in the Estates Office. The appointee will lead town planning and land use initiatives, supervise projects and coordinate with government bodies and consultants in Hong Kong.

The role requires a degree in Town Planning or related fields, HKIP membership or equivalent, and at least 5 years of post-qualification experience, with strong English and Chinese

Formación

• A recognised university degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning / Design or related disciplines.
• Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP) or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ relevant post-qualification experience, preferably with supervisory or project leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Hong Kong’s statutory planning system and land administration matters.
• Experience liaising with Government departments, authorities, consultants and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong English/Chinese communication.
• GIS and design software knowledge would be an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee town planning, land administration and development for the University.
• Identify and evaluate development opportunities and conduct land-use research and planning studies.
• Coordinate with consultants, government departments and stakeholders on land, planning and urban design matters.
• Provide professional advice on optimal and sustainable use of land and assets.
• Manage multiple assignments with independent professional judgement.
