Job summary

Lenovo is seeking a motivated Java Developer to join our application maintenance team in Hong Kong. You will support and enhance existing enterprise Java applications built on JDK 8, Web MVC, and Spring Framework, focusing on reliability, performance, and code quality.

The role emphasizes OO programming, RESTful APIs, and SQL-based data work, with opportunities for hands-on production support and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Java programming and OO programming.
• Familiar with Spring Framework, JSP/JSTL/Servlets, RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or other relational databases and SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support existing Java-based web applications.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and production issues.
• Implement enhancement requests and change requirements from business, develop, test, and deploy software fixes following established development standards.
• Investigate application logs and perform root cause analysis.
• Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Ensure data integrity through data patching and validation.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand and meet requirements.
• Document technical processes and changes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
