Job summary

Vocational Training Council (VTC) invites applications for an IT Officer to oversee campus network services, Data Centre operations and IT systems across Windows, Linux, virtualization and cloud platforms. The role requires hands-on management and automated workflow improvement.

Candidates should have IT degrees or equivalent, with 2+ years (degree) or 5+ years (diploma) experience, and strong English/Chinese communication. Final appointment may be at Officer or Technician level.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT or equivalent with at least 2 years’ relevant experience; OR higher diploma in IT or equivalent with at least 5 years' relevant experience.
• Knowledge/certifications in system administration will be an advantage: Cursor, Grok Build, Claude Code, Devin Desktop.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese; good interpersonal skills; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain campus network, WIFI service, SSL certificates, and IT application systems with servers.
• Provide support on Data Centre management, operations and monitoring.
• Manage IT systems and services on Windows, Linux, virtualization and cloud platforms.
• Utilize automation tools with coding agents to optimise IT infrastructure and Data Centre workflows.
